Our First Summer as a Married Couple

8/20/10

After months of debating whether or not to do a blog, I gave in. I haven't been very good at keeping up with a journal since we've been married, so this will sort of make up for it. Anyway, we've been married over 9 months now and so far we don't have any complaints. Life is definitely better as a married couple!

Our first summer together has been really fun! In July, we went to Wyoming to visit Ryan's grandparents at their summer house. I love Wyoming! At least in the summer time. It's so green and open and beautiful! His grandparents really spoiled us while we were there. They took us to a really fun dinner/show in Jackson Hole, took us hiking to Intermittent Falls, took us to a rodeo (my first one), they let us go horseback riding, and best of all, they fed us 3 delicious home cooked meals a day. Not too shabby for us.

We also just got back from Lake Powell with Ryan's family. That is always a good time. All of Ryan's siblings were there and we all had a blast. Lake Powell is just the perfect vacation. All you need is a swimsuit and sunblock, and maybe some food. Again, not to shabby for us.

We both got very lucky marrying into the families we did. I don't think many people would enjoy a full week on one houseboat with all their in-laws, but I sure do. And Ryan shouldn't have any complaints about having crazy in-laws either, because my family is just as fun!

We may not have too much to update on the blog since it's just the two of us (for now), but we'll keep you posted with Ryan's school, and my (hopeful) acceptance into nursing school.

Practicing being parents with Megan Bree. It won't be happening anytime soon for us...Sorry!
